The Walk for Alzheimer’s is the largest fundraiser for dementia care in Canada
You’re hearing about it and seeing it mentioned in all types of media these days. More and more people are being diagnosed with dementia. In fact, there’s a good chance if you haven’t already experienced it in your family or social circle, you will in the future.
With no cure or treatment in sight YET, a diagnosis of dementia is a frightening and life changing challenge. But there is something you CAN DO NOW to support those living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
This spring, all across Canada, people are rising to the challenge. They are walking to raise awareness and much needed funds for vital dementia support, programs and services that improve the quality of life for those living with dementia and their families. All money raised will remain in your community.
Last year, thousands of walkers came together to raise these important funds. The need to support the growing number of Canadians affected by dementia has never been greater.
This is a 1 hour outdoor walk and will take place rain or shine
