Course: Advanced Vehicle Extrication (TERC, USA/ Canada)
Pre-requisite: 2 years’ experience with a municipal fire service.
Date(s): June 21-23, 2019
Fee: $500.00 per candidate
Course Description:
In partnership with TERC (Transportation Emergency Rescue Committee), USA/ Canada, this
course will engage participants in various tools and commonly accepted techniques and terms
in the industry. A hands-on approach to material that will introduce participants to unique
challenges and situations utilizing a wide range of hand, hydraulic, electric and pneumatic tools
incorporated by the NFPA 1006: Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional
Qualifications. Candidates will receive a certificate of completion compliant to NFPA 1006
Vehicle Rescue Requirements.
Instructor: Dave Dalrymple
Dave Dalrymple is an international name in auto-extrication, spanning across 34 years of
emergency services experience. A career with the Clinton Fire Department, Clinton New Jersey
as a firefighter, EMT and rescue-tech he also served as an executive educator for Roadway
Rescue LLC, a certified fire service instructor for the state of New Jersey, and the education
chair for TERC, USA. The 2007 recipient of the Harvey Grant Award for Excellence in Rescue
Education, a contributing editor of “Vehicle Extrication Chapter” in “Fire Engineering Handbook”
for FF I & II distributed by Pennwell Books. Dave is also a current contributor for “Fire
Engineering” Magazine and presenter at FDIC Indianapolis.
